A bill to provide for the equitable settlement of certain Indian land disputes regarding land in Illinois, and for other purposes.

This bill allows the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma to file a legal claim in a specific federal court over land rights connected to an old treaty called the Treaty of Grouseland. The court must decide the case even if it would normally be considered too old to bring to court. The tribe has one year to file the claim, and in exchange, all other land claims the tribe has or might have in Illinois are permanently given up.
