Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies Act of 2025

This bill creates a new commission in Congress called the Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies. The commission's job is to look into the effects of past federal policies that forced American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian children to leave their families and attend boarding schools. It must also come up with recommendations for protecting unmarked graves, helping return children's remains and identifying which tribal nations they came from, and stopping the ongoing removal of these children from their families and communities by state social services, foster care, and adoption agencies.
