Precision Brain Health Research Act of 2025

This bill expands a Department of Veterans Affairs program focused on understanding and improving brain and mental health in veterans. It adds new areas of focus, including studying the effects of repeated low-level blast exposure and dementia, and requires the VA to identify biological markers for these and other brain conditions. The VA must partner with the Department of Defense to share data, work with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on research, and regularly report its findings and recommendations to Congress. The program is authorized to continue through 2034.
