Northern Border Security Enhancement and Review Act

This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to study threats along the northern U.S. border every three years, looking at things like terrorism, criminal activity, and changes in the number of people caught crossing illegally. DHS must also update its plan for securing the northern border by September 2026 and every five years after that, and it must give private briefings to certain members of Congress about what it finds. Additionally, the border agency's Air and Marine Operations unit must come up with ways to measure how well it is doing at securing the northern border by air and sea between official border crossings.
