Expanding Whistleblower Protections for Contractors Act of 2025

This bill gives more protection to employees who work for companies or organizations that have contracts or grants with the federal government. Right now, those employees are protected if they report wrongdoing related to federal contracts or funds, and this bill adds protection for employees who refuse to follow an order that would require them to break a law or regulation. It also makes sure these protections cover people in the intelligence community and state, local, or tribal government employees. The bill says that employers cannot make workers sign agreements ahead of time giving up these protections, and it prevents federal officials from asking contractors to punish protected employees.
