HELPER Act of 2025

This bill creates a program run by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to help law enforcement officers, teachers, firefighters, and other first responders buy a home. Under the program, these workers could qualify for a first-time home loan without having to make a down payment. Instead of a down payment, they would pay a one-time mortgage insurance fee upfront.
