Medical Supply Chain Resiliency Act

What this bill does

AI plain-language summary

This bill lets the President make special trade deals with trusted partner countries to make it easier to buy and sell medical supplies, like medicines and medical devices. These deals could lower or remove taxes on imports, reduce trade barriers, and help the U.S. get medical supplies from more places so the supply is more reliable. The President can only make these deals if they would help protect U.S. national security and public health, and Congress must be notified at least 60 days before negotiations begin. Congress also gets to review any deal and can vote to block it from going into effect.
