A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to the withdrawal of the rule relating to "Consumer Financial Protection Circular 2024-03: Unlawful and Unenforceable Contract Terms and Conditions".

This joint resolution would bring back guidance from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) that was originally published in June 2024 and later withdrawn in May 2025. That guidance said that companies offering financial services to consumers might be breaking the law if they include illegal or unenforceable terms in their contracts, such as terms that take away a consumer's right to sue. The joint resolution officially disapproves of the decision to withdraw that guidance, which would put it back in effect.
