This resolution allows the Senate to consider and vote on a group of nominations all at once, rather than one by one. The nominees include people picked to serve as officers in several federal departments like Defense, Energy, the Interior, State, and the Treasury. It also covers people nominated to represent the United States at international organizations and in countries like Brazil, Cambodia, Cyprus, and the Gambia, as well as people nominated to serve on boards like the National Labor Relations Board, the National Transportation Safety Board, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and courts in Washington, DC.
