Safe Cloud Storage Act

This bill protects technology companies that provide digital storage services, like cloud storage, to law enforcement agencies for storing and handling child sexual abuse material during investigations of online child exploitation. Right now, companies that work directly with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children already have legal protections, but companies that work with law enforcement agencies do not. This bill would shield those companies from lawsuits and criminal charges as long as they follow the rules, don't act carelessly or with bad intentions, and stick to their contract duties. The bill also requires these companies to follow cybersecurity rules and proper evidence storage requirements when handling this material.
