While I think this is good in theory but Medicaid should handle all things health, and if we keep authorizing one off bills we never get to the root of the problem, because the powers at be will keep think the current limits of Medicaid are a success. Its kind of like when you are at your job and you think I am rocking it, and nobody ever notices the everyday wins but when you do something wrong everyone notices. And I think Medicaid need to be held to account here.
I do support this bill, and as others have said, it's a "no-brainer". I do think that with a 5 year commitment/authorization should require public reporting on performance, as nothing should be indefinitely funded without results.
