Aerial Firefighting Enhancement Act of 2025

This law lets the Department of Defense continue selling its extra aircraft and aircraft parts to be used for putting out wildfires, with this permission lasting from June 12, 2025, through October 1, 2035. It expands what these aircraft can do by allowing them to drop water from the air to fight wildfires, not just fire retardant as was allowed before. The law also removes a previous rule that stopped people who bought these aircraft from using them to help fight wildfires in other countries.
