Aerial Firefighting Enhancement Act of 2025

This bill allows the Department of Defense to continue selling its extra aircraft and aircraft parts to be used for fighting wildfires, with this authority lasting from October 1, 2025, through October 1, 2035. It expands what these aircraft can do by allowing them to deliver water from the air to fight wildfires, not just fire retardant as was allowed before. The bill also removes a previous rule that stopped people who bought these aircraft from using them to help fight wildfires in other countries.
