Improving Access to Transfusion Care for Hospice Patients Act of 2025

This bill requires a part of the federal government that tests new ideas for Medicare to try out a program where blood transfusions for hospice patients are paid for separately, rather than being included in the regular daily payment that hospice providers receive from Medicare. The government would then study how this change affects things like how often patients go to the hospital and how many days of hospice care they receive before the end of life, comparing patients in the program to those not in it.
