Cure Hepatitis C Act of 2025

This bill sets up programs to give free hepatitis C medication to certain groups of people, including those on Medicaid or CHIP, people in jail or prison, uninsured individuals, and people getting care through the Indian Health Service. The government would make a five-year deal with drug companies to buy hepatitis C treatments so these people don't have to pay anything out of pocket. The bill also creates grants to help with hepatitis C testing and treatment, and it allows people on Medicare to get hepatitis C drugs without extra costs from 2027 to 2031. State programs and local jails can choose whether to participate, but federal prisons and the Indian Health Service are required to take part.
