Disaster Relief Medicaid Act

This bill creates programs to give Medicaid health coverage to people affected by major disasters, national emergencies, or public health emergencies. To qualify, people must meet certain income requirements and must have either lived or worked in the affected area, including those who lost their jobs because of the disaster. The coverage would last for two years after the disaster is declared, and the federal government would pay the full cost instead of splitting it with the states. The bill also requires a nonprofit organization to be hired to study how well the program works.
