Broadcast VOICES Act

This bill creates tax breaks to help women and people who have faced racial, ethnic, or cultural discrimination become owners and managers of radio stations. If someone sells a radio station in a way that helps these individuals gain or keep ownership, the seller may not have to pay taxes on the money made from the sale. The bill also gives a tax credit to people who donate radio stations for training these individuals in how to run a station. Additionally, it requires the Federal Communications Commission to send Congress a report with ideas for increasing radio station ownership among these groups.
